Exploring a range of artistic mediums, including drawings, paintings, watercolors, and ceramics, is my way of narrating the multifaceted parts of my journey.  Through these mediums, I aim to convey not just visual representations but also deeper insights into the complexities of our shared human experience; to raise awareness about problems within our modern society and technological advances.

My works, grounded in realism, carry subtle meanings that reflect the societal challenges that surround us. I weave creative design elements into my artwork, a unique language that allows me to communicate my ideas and distinctive stylistic choices.

Acrylic18x24

This artwork reflects on my experience living in a modern world, where I see society in a state of disorientation, lost within a vast world map, as I am bleeding into the realm of technology. As the map of my hometown connects with graphical abstract designs, it symbolizes how technology can consume and redefine our identity. "NO" in red signifies alertness, aligning with both Banksy's and my shared concern about the risk of losing our humanity.

Technological       Singularity

In the center of this artwork is the renowned painting "Dante and Virgil in Hell (1850)" by William Bouguereau. I incorporated this artwork into a setting surrounded by robotic figures and humans battling in a scene. This represents AI and humans in a fierce competition for supremacy, which could lead us to the inevitable destruction of humanity for the sake of our survival.
Technology has the potential to enhance our lives in countless ways,  However, as technology becomes increasingly intertwined with our daily existence, there are also many  concerns about its impact on our humanity. Bouguereau's work is a symbol of the irony that intended to safeguard us now pose a threat to our existence, with a possible displacement by A.I.. This work represents my imagination of our future world that emphasizes the message to preserve humanity.

Questions whether machines can mimic human behaviors and intelligence rises. As AI systems become more advanced, they may challenge traditional notions of what it means to think, feel, and act as a human being.

Fusion

Oil 18x24

This piece represents an interplay between AI and humans coexisting in this world, fighting for their place. The eye symbolizes a higher power, as humans are regularly monitored in the digital age. Teenagers myself included absorbed in social media and our devices. The problem of privacy to social anxiety arises. The wing symbolizes freedom and the desire to break free from power. While we are aware of the situation, society continues to wrestle with these challenges, often falling back into the cycle of unresolved issues, seemingly trapped in a perpetual struggle. Questions arise about the erosion of privacy and autonomy in an era of constant surveillance and data collection. Fears are presented in job displacement and economic inequality as automation and AI-driven technologies reshape industries and labor markets. Additionally, there are ethical dilemmas surrounding the development and use of AI, such as issues of bias, accountability, and the potential for unintended consequences. This reflects the complexity of our modern world today. My intention with this artwork is to raise awareness, particularly with art, that this has already unfolded within our reality.

Given my fascination with Egyptian Mythology and chess, I took an interest in designing and creating a chess set. I started playing chess in high school with a friend. But before I knew the rules, I compared chess to choosing the right moves of choices every day. It is a metaphor for making decisions where each choice influences the outcome. The cracks that divide the chessboard in half represent the division between good and wrong, with white and intended black color representing this contrast. It mirrors the separation of goodness and evil in the daily
battleground people face, torn between choosing the best direction. However, the longer one plays, the path becomes clearer to the answer. In total, this project took me about 50 hours to complete.

With my interest in Greek and Egyptian mythology, I crafted this Trojan Horse. I was inspired by my twin to create this as we both love to talk about mythology. I began by constructing the base with popsicle sticks, then spray-painted it black. Finally, I used acrylics to paint the designs I had envisioned.

In the biblical story, Adam and Eve's disobedience leads to the concept of original sin, symbolizing humanity's fall from grace. By incorporating skulls into the depiction, artists can underscore the consequences of human actions and the inherent flaws of human nature. However, the modern art elements can also suggest the possibility of redemption or transformation amidst this existential struggle, offering a glimmer of hope amid the darkness.

I started thinking about creating this piece during the Lockdown due to the worldwide pandemic. Since COVID-19 has taken effect, I have felt frustrated and lost as an artist and as a human being on this earth. This piece represents the hope and the beauty that is unfolding even while hopelessness and darkness. The reason why I chose the biblical symbolism is because I felt that I was tied down to my sins and guilt of being on my phone and consuming for pleasure and, excess beyond reason.

Rainy Days in Japan

20x24 Watercolor

This is a watercolor of Japan. With my deep interest in Japanese art, their style inspires me in my artistic journey to explore vibrant colors and accents. I drew this because going to Japan to learn about their culture and historical art movements is one of my goals in the near future.

Travel

9x15 Watercolor

Watercolor of the place my parents have visited during their honeymoon. I hope to revisit the places my parents have traveled.

My Giant Friend

Acrylic 18x24

The tree is my giant friend who was a part of my imagination when I was young. I took a picture of my 6-year-old self and started creating the rest of the canvas board. I have always felt a sense of connection with nature. I loved playing and immersing myself in outside activities. I used to be great at climbing up the trees, so I imagined myself becoming a friend of one in this painting. The deep forest symbolizes a place in my mind. This painting showcases my imaginative and original thinking.

Beauty of Nature

 Acrylic and  Graphite
18x24, 18x24, 5x8, 5x8

With my interest in nature, I have combined piece of art that tell a story about finding beauty in the ordinary, in the world. Nature is within us and we are apart of it.

Golden Beetle

Color Pencil 5x8

This is a preliminary sketch of a Golden Devil Beetle, I created this anatomical artwork while adding to my style of design.

Modern Madonna

Oil 24x30

I incorporated a famous Renaissance art of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus (by Raphael) within a modern background. The blending of historical and contemporary elements creates a visual dialogue between two distinct periods. This fusion challenges conventional boundaries, demonstrating a creative prowess that not only honors the legacy of historical art but also contributes to the ongoing evolution of artistic expression in the contemporary realm.

Einstein
